Miniature Bed Assembly Step 9...Dollhouse Miniatures How To ProjectsAdding Trim to the Miniature BedWe should now have three sub-assemblies - headboard, footboard and mattress frame for this how to make miniature furniture project. Before we attach the miniature trim pieces, lets stain everything and let them sit overnight to dry. The trim piece indicated in this drawing does not get glued on at this time - its shown for reference. We will be using this surface to hold the miniature bed footboard vertical and square to the miniature mattress frame when we assemble the bed.
Go ahead and glue all the trim pieces on to the footboard and headboard (except as noted above). Just like always don't get carried away with a whole bunch of glue - just a touch here and there will hold everything quite nicely.
On the headboard I indicate where you can add another piece of trim. this would be more for making the joints stronger because this section will be covered with the miniature bed mattress.
Set everything aside for a little extra drying time - the glue has a tendency to cure a little slower when used over stain. Continue on to Miniature Bed Assembly Step 10
