Miniature Chest Assembly Step 6...
For this last step, lay the chest, back side down, over a piece of card stock or shirt cardboard and trace the outline of the chest onto the card stock.

You can cut the bottom of this sheet to match up to the bottom of the chest or all the way down to the floor. I chose to the bottom not the floor. Cut the card stock on the lines using your razor knife and a straight edge. For best results try to cut through the card stock with one clean cutting stroke. A little white or tacky glue around the edges of the chest and press the back on. Remember to shy the glue to the inside edges so it doesn't extrude itself all over the outside of the chest.
Miniature Chest Assembly Step 7...
Well our little miniature chest of drawers is now complete except for the handles. For my sample I made my own miniature handles. The pattern I used is on the cut sheet.

For detailed instructions on how I make these, and other, handles from card stock refer to my miniature handles page.(Coming soon)
The basics steps are:- Cut out the design
- Form the curved shape
- Apply a coat of paint
- Let dry
- Reshape if needed
- Apply a second coat of paint
- Glue to the furniture piece
Once the entire piece is complete, spray the finishing coating on the entire unit as I've described in my
Finishing Miniature Furniture
page located in the How To Basics pages.
